Baby Eczema- What Are The Causes

Baby eczema can be difficult and traumatic for both baby and parents, but early signs can be picked up. Did you notice anything odd when your baby was put into your arms for the very first time?. Did you notice things like how wrinkled the skin was? Was there what appeared to be a white substance on your hands?. Baby eczema can irritates your child’s skin, making it inflamed and red. 4. Your choice of baby milk or formula may be a problem if you are not breast feeding anymore. 

5. Weather conditions may also contribute to baby eczema.

Allergies – Baby’s Can Grow Out of Them

Since eczema is an allergy, baby eczema can usually be grown out. Soy milks can be recommended for an infant that still requires copious amounts of milk. If the soy milk also causes baby eczema, goat’s milk would be the next option that you could still purchase off the shelf. However, if all else fails on the shop shelf there is help there for formulations of milk that can be recommended from your health care professional.

Further Methods to Treat Baby Eczema

Besides changing the milk there are other forms of external medication and creams that can be used for baby eczema treatment. These creams don’t use petroleum, so they don’t penetrate the skin. Other gentle ingredients such as aloe are used to alleviate the itchiness and dry skin. If the problem is severe, creams containing cortisone may be prescribed until the problem eases. Weight gain and thinning skin may be noticed as side effects of creams with cortisone. The weight will shed over time, once the cortisone creams and ointments foe the baby eczema is discontinued.
